On behalf of the the Executive committee, I am pleased to announce the
14th Australasian Tissue & Biotherapeutics Forum (Biotherapeutics Association of Australasia), Scientific & Business meeting, 2013, including a TGA Consultation Workshop.
To be held over 2 days. July 15th & 16th, 2013.
Venue: Mercure Canberra, Corner Limestone and Ainslie Avenues, Braddon, ACT.
Following last year's successful meeting, combined with the APASTB and ISCT (Australasian Region), and with the 7th World Congress on Tissue Banking to be hosted in Melbourne in 2014, this year's meeting will be focused on local Regulatory, Scientific and Business issues for Biotherapeutics and Tissue.
Many of you will be aware of the recent success of the Special General Meeting to introduce new association rules and transition to a new name, Biologicals Association of Australasia, with a new individual membership structure, to encourage greater participation and inclusion of members from all fields of tissue banking, cellular therapies, biologicals, testing & research laboratories and related fields. These amendments are now awaiting approval by the government authority who manages association registration. We hope to receive that approval and to be able to circulate further information and membership invitations in the coming weeks.
For Meeting Registration information, please refer to the attached ATBF(BAA) 2013 meeting registration form and draft program. Member registration discounts are available to staff of existing member banks, associate members and professional members and will be extended to those who are accepted as Individual members under the new Rules of the Biotherapeutics Association of Australasia.
